In case you're wondering where I've been, rather than where I'm going, here are some past excerpts of my itinerary. Warning: some of these have been reconstructed after the fact, so may not be complete. Also, links are not guaranteed to work, and I don't promise to fix any of them.

1999

January 7-9	In Princeton, NJ for the Andre Weil memorial conference at the Institute for Advanced Study.
January 11-15	In San Antonio, TX for the AMS-MAA Joint Meetings. Gave a talk January 15.
January 15-17	Back in Cambridge, MA for the MIT Mystery Hunt, which my team (Setec Astronomy) won. This meant that we were responsible for writing the next hunt (see January 2000).
February 21	In Washington, DC for an IMO 2001 executive committee meeting.
March 12-18	In Tucson, AZ for the Arizona Winter School.
May 5-8	In Lincoln, NE for the USA Math Olympiad grading session.
End of May sometime	In Washington, DC for the USA Math Olympiad award ceremony.
June 29-July 14	In Bucharest, Romania as the USA deputy team leader at the 1999 International Math Olympiad.

2000

Sorry, I haven't found my records for 2000 yet, so all I have is what I can remember off the top of my head.

mid-January	My team staged the MIT Mystery Hunt. That should have taught us a lesson, but see January 2001.
March 10-12	At the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament in Stamford, CT.
April 21	Defended my dissertation. Whew!
early June	Received my PhD at MIT Commencement.
slightly later in June	In Washington, DC for the USA Math Olympiad awards, then in Lincoln, NE visiting the Math Olympiad (Summer) Program.
mid-July	In San Francisco, CA for the National Puzzlers League convention (and looking for housing for the fall).
mid-August	Moved to Berkeley, CA to start my NSF postdoctoral fellowship. Spent the fall semester visiting MSRI during their program in Algorithmic Number Theory.

October 26-27	Attending the AMS sectional meeting in Salt Lake City.

April 23-25	At the third Duke Mathematical Journal Conference in Durham, NC. And due to a last-minute withdrawal, giving a talk April 24. (Yikes!)
April 30-May 2	At the USAMO grading in Lincoln, NE, but not leaving until after teaching Friday morning.
May 13	Classes end at MIT. Exams are May 17-21 (mine is May 18), and departmental grades meetings occur May 27.
May 27-June 4 or so	Visiting Alan Lauder in Oxford, with a stopover in Reykjavik because, well, what the heckjavik. (Sorry.) Giving a talk June 3. Probably spending a couple of days in Maryland before returning to Boston.
June 12-18	Attending ANTS VI, the sixth biannual Algorithmic Number Theory Symposium, at the University of Vermont (Burlington). Giving a talk June 17.
June 19	The US Puzzle Championship is held online, which means I won't be flying to Toronto until evening (see below).
June 20-21	The award ceremonies for the USA Mathematical Olympiad take place in Washington, DC, but I don't expect to make it.
June 20-25	In Toronto, ON for CNTA VIII, the biannual meeting of the Canadian Number Theory Association. Giving a talk June 21. I will only be staying until the 23rd because of the next item.
June 22-26	The Stanley Conference, in honor of Richard Stanley's 60th birthday, takes place at MIT. But see conflict with the previous item.
June 29-July 4	Visiting the Math Olympiad Summer Program (Lincoln, NE).
July 8-11	Staying home for once, as the National Puzzlers' League annual convention will be held in Cambridge (our fair city!), MA (specifically at the Cambridge Marriott, near MIT). Lucky for us, this is well before the Democratic National Convention in Boston later in the month.

October 7-9	The Institute for Advanced Study is holding a conference in honor of Robert Macpherson's 60th birthday.
October 16-17	The AMS fall southeastern sectional meeting in Albuquerque has an arithmetic geometry special session.
October 23-24	The Midwest Number Theory Conference takes place at the University of Chicago.
November 2	Giving a talk in the Five College Number Theory Seminar at Amherst College (MA), just in time for Election Day.
November 6-8	In the San Francisco area for the weekend. Visiting Stanford November 8.
December 1	Giving a talk at Ohio State (Columbus).
December 9	Classes end at MIT. Exams run December 13-17, but I'm teaching a graduate course which will not have a final; good thing, too, because of the next item.
December 10-12	At an instructional workshop in Padova on rigid geometry and isocrystals. Unfortunately, the trip has to be kept short in light of the adjacent items.
December 16-18	At MSRI (or rather, at its temporary location in Berkeley) for a workshop on mathematical circles and Olympiads.
December 19-20	Stopping over briefly at the West Coast Number Theory Conference at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. (The conference runs December 16-20, but note conflict with the previous item.)
December 21-28	Visiting my parents in Maryland during the winter break.

2005

January 5-8	At the AMS/MAA joint meetings in Atlanta; giving a talk January 6.
January 14-16	The MIT Mystery Hunt takes place in Cambridge. Oh, and my team is writing it. Again. When will we ever learn?
January 28-30	A conference in honor of Persi Diaconis is to be held in San Diego.
January 31	Spring term registration at MIT; classes begin the following day. I am teaching two classes this semester, which will put a bit of a crimp in my peripatetic style. Nonetheless, see the next few items.
February 15-19	In Muenster, Germany, for a conference on p-adic differential equations.
February 21	Presidents Day holiday; no classes at MIT. The following day is an "MIT Monday", which probably means I get a bit of a break from teaching.
February 28-March 4	The University of Florida is hosting a conference on arithmetic geometry; I expect to attend March 2-4.
March 11-13	At the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament in Stamford, CT. But as usual, note conflict with the next item.
March 12-16	The increasingly misnamed Arizona Winter School takes place at the University of New Mexico (Albuquerque). But as usual, note conflict with the previous item; also note that this does not land during my spring break, so it conflicts also with my teaching. Sigh.
March 18-20	A conference is being held at Brown in honor of Stephen Lichtenbaum's 65th birthday. Since I teach Fridays, I probably will only make it down on the 19th and 20th. (An offer of a ride would be much appreciated!)
March 21-25	Spring break at MIT; no plans for it yet.
April 15	First giving a talk at Brandeis. Then participating in an MIT Chamber Chorus concert (music of Bach plus Schutz and/or Monteverdi), to which all are invited!
April 18-19	Patriots Day; no classes at MIT. Giving a talk at Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) on April 19, and giving a talk at Chicago on April 20.
April 22-24	At the USAMO grading in Washington, but only arriving Friday evening because I teach Friday afternoons.
May 12	Classes end at MIT. Exams run May 16-20 (and I will be giving one, in 18.024), and commencement is June 3.
May 14-16	A workshop on p-adic dynamics takes place at Wesleyan. I may try to make it for one of the weekend days.
May 19-20	Giving an algebraic geometry seminar at Stanford (on May 19).
May 30-June 3	In Rennes for a workshop on recent progress in p-adic cohomology (plus a side workshop on applications to cryptography). Giving a talk June 3.
June 4-6	The Canadian Mathematical Society summer meeting takes place in Waterloo; due to the near-conflict with the previous item, I will arrive on the 4th. Giving a talk in a special session on automatic sequences.
June 13-17	Boston University is hosting a conference on Iwasawa theory in honor of Ralph Greenberg's 60th birthday. Given the next item, I'll probably only make it on the 13th.
June 15-23	Attending the Budapest Semesters in Mathematics reunion conference in Budapest; due to the conflict with the next item, I will leave on the 20th. (Sziasztok, everyone!)
June 19-25	At the Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut Oberwolfach for a conference on "Algebraische Zahlentheorie" (that's "algebraic number theory" for us non-Germanophones). However, note conflict with the previous item; this probably means I will arrive on the 20th. Giving a talk June 22.
June 26-27	Dates of the USAMO award ceremonies in Washington, DC; I expect to attend.
June 27-29	A conference in honor of Luc Illusie is being held in Paris, but I will not be able to attend, in part due to the conflict with the previous item.
June 30-July 9	The next Foundations of Computational Mathematics conference takes place at the Universidad de Cantabria (Santander, Spain). It includes a workshop July 7-9 on computational number theory; however, I will not be able to attend due to the conflict with the item two below (as well as all the other traveling I'm doing this summer).
July 4-8	The 24th Journées Arithmétiques takes place in Marseille. However, I will not be able to attend due to the conflict with the next item.
July 7-10	At the National Puzzlers' League annual convention in Los Angeles. Probably in San Diego for several days before that.
July 8-19 (note date change)	The International Mathematical Olympiad takes place in Merida, Mexico, but this is only here for informational purposes; I will not be attending.
July 17-23	At the Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut Oberwolfach again, this time for a conference on "Explicit Methods in Number Theory". Giving a talk July 18.
August 4-6	The MAA summer meeting (MathFest) takes place in Albuquerque. I haven't been to a MathFest in over 10 years, and it is unlikely that this year will change that, but Albuquerque sounds nice...
August 8-12	At the third week of the AMS Summer Institute in Algebraic Geometry in Seattle. In fact, I'm co-organizing one of the sessions that week, on positive characteristic and arithmetic geometry, and giving a talk August 8.
September 6	Registration day at MIT; classes begin the following day.
September 12-16	A workshop on p-adic representations takes place at the Centre de Recherches en Mathematiques in Montréal. However, note conflict with the next item; I am planning to attend September 12-14. For once, not giving a talk.
September 15-16	In Baltimore for the inaugural board meeting of Cogito.org. (The link may not work yet.) I plan to return to Boston on September 9, after taking my parents to the airport for their trip to India, then visiting the University of Maryland. (Note: no classes at MIT on September 19, but I don't teach on Mondays this term anyway.)
September 26-29	At a meeting on "Arithmetic, geometry, and coding theory" at the CIRM (Luminy, Marseille, France). (The conference ends on the 30th but I am returning a day early to minimize teaching damage.) Giving a talk September 29.
October 1-2	The Maine-Québec Number Theory Conference takes place at Maine (Orono, ME); I am attending but not giving a talk. I will spend October 3 also in Maine, giving undergraduate-level talks at Bowdoin College and Colby College.
October 10-11	No classes at MIT, due to the Columbus Day holiday. However, I am not planning to leave town.
October 17-20	The Institute for Advanced Study (Princeton) is hosting a conference in honor of Pierre Deligne's sixty-first birthday. I will attend October 17-19, but I'm not nearly important enough to give a talk!
November 6	Giving a talk at Brown; I will be away all day.
November 11	No classes at MIT, due to the Veterans Day holiday. I'll be in Tucson November 9 and 10, in the San Francisco area on November 11, and in the Los Angeles area on November 12.
November 24-25	No classes at MIT, due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Leaving town the morning of the 23rd, returning the morning of the 29th.
December 14	Classes end at MIT; exams run December 16-22. My exam is December 20.
December 15	In New York to give a number theory seminar at NYU (joint with Columbia and CUNY). I'll probably make a multi-day trip out of this.
December 29-January 5	Visiting my parents in Maryland.

2006

January 13	Confirmed start date for the MIT Mystery Hunt in Cambridge. I won't know the end date until it's over...
January 30-February 5	Visiting San Diego, partly for this.
February 6	Registration day at MIT; classes begin the following day.
February 20-24	Organizing the workshop p-adic representations, modularity, and beyond at the AIM Research Conference Center (Palo Alto, CA); I'll most likely arrive early on the 19th. (Note that February 20 is the Presidents Day holiday, and February 21 is an MIT Monday.) The following weekend is a Pacific Northwest Number Theory Conference in Seattle; I'll pick that up on the way back.
March 11-15	The Arizona Winter School takes place in Tucson; the topic is computational and algorithmic aspects. However, I won't be able to make it; among other things, I have an out-of-town visitor coming on the 13th.
March 24-26	The American Crossword Puzzle Tournament takes place in Stamford, CT; since I teach Friday 2-3, I will only be arriving late Friday. See also next item.
March 27-31	Spring break at MIT, which among other things coincides with an MSRI workshop on "Cohomological approaches to rational points". I'm no longer sure whether I'm going to attend even part of this.
April 17-18	Patriots Day holiday at MIT. No classes, but I have to be on campus (for a choir rehearsal) Tuesday afternoon.
April 21-23	Projected dates of the USAMO grading session. The good news is that it's in Cambridge. The bad news is that it conflicts with the next two items.
April 22	The MIT Chamber Chorus spring concert takes place at 8 PM in Kresge. This causes problems with the adjacent items.
April 22-23	The AMS sectional meeting at the University of New Hampshire has a special session on arithmetic geometry and modular forms and another on Galois theory in arithmetic and geometry.
